Cristina Coman este conferentiar universitar la Facultatea de Jurnalism si Stiintele Comunicarii a Universitatii din Bucuresti. Domeniile de specialitate sunt Relatiile publice si Presa asistata de ordinator. S-a nascut in anul 1954, la Bucuresti, a absolvit liceul Gheorghe Lazar si Facultatea de Automatica si Calculatoare a Universitatii Politehnice Bucuresti. Este doctor in stiinte sociale al Universitatii din Bucuresti (2001). A beneficiat de stagii de perfectionare in jurnalism si comunicare la Ecole Superieure de Journalisme, Lille (Franta - 1992), Universite Libre de Bruxelles (Belgia - 1993), State University of South Carolina (SUA - 1995) si Universite Paul Valery de Montpellier (Franta - 1999). 

Este autoarea lucrarii Relatii Publice: tehnici de comunicare cu presa aparuta in 1999 la editura ALL, reeditata in 2000 cu titlul Relatiile publice si mass media, Iasi, Polirom, 2000, precum si a volumului Relatiile publice – principii si strategii, Iasi, Polirom  2001, 2003.

A sustinut numeroase comunicari stiintifice si a tinut prelegeri si cursuri practice la seminare de perfectionare pentru specialistii in comunicare. A publicat studii in volume colective intre care: Constructe teoretice folosite in relatiile publice, in D. Balaban, F. Rus, PT Trends, Bucuresti, Tritonic, 2007 si Öffentlichkeitsarbeit in Rumänien, in Balaban D.C./Rus F.C., Medien, PR und Werbung in Rumänien, Mittweida Hochschulverlag, 2008.

Este membru fondator al Asociatiei Romane a Profesionistilor in Relatii Publice si al Asociatiei Formatorilor din Jurnalism si Comunicare si membru international al Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (SUA).
